A passionate traveler, entrepreneur, and advocate for women’s empowerment based in Kamloops, British Columbia, I believe that exploring the world opens doors to self-discovery and broadens perspectives, enriching both knowledge and compassion. While pursuing my education and professional career, I dedicated eight years to volunteering and performing in The Vagina Monologues—a transformative experience that deepened my commitment to honoring women’s strength and resilience. In 2019, I had the honor of organizing the event alongside my mother, which further strengthened my belief in the power of sincere connection and collective action.
My fields of interest span women’s empowerment and advocacy, entrepreneurship, personal growth through travel, and community building. These passions inform my work and life, driving me to foster environments where innovation, collaboration, and authentic connection thrive.
As the founder of Tenebrous Trove, my small business has been a catalyst for personal growth. It has taught me to identify opportunities, take initiative, manage risk, and embrace innovation. These entrepreneurial experiences have shaped my approach to life, fostering determination, creativity, and a commitment to making a positive impact.
At the heart of my journey are values such as understanding things at their core, altruism, compassion, honesty, and curiosity. I strive to live authentically and with a deep sense of commitment, always seeking to learn, connect, and contribute meaningfully to the world around me.
Providing the Evolved Nest for my daughter has become my top priority—a commitment deeply influenced by the Kinship Worldview, which honors the interconnectedness and sacredness of all life. Recognizing that the Evolved Nest is not just for children but a holistic way of living that nurtures our connection to each other and to nature, our family has consciously woven its principles into our daily lives, fostering empathy, resilience, and well-being for all of us. This links closely to my interests in child-rearing philosophies, holistic well-being, and social communities.
Over the past two summers, we have traveled through British Columbia’s intentional communities, searching for a place where collective care, reciprocity, and responsibility—values central to both the Kinship Worldview and the Evolved Nest—can best support our growth. By embracing this perspective and stepping forward as Evolved Nest Ambassadors, we hope to nurture a world grounded in kinship, generosity, and cooperation, creating a more nested and harmonious future, one community at a time.
My current project emerged from a request by the community where we spent the last two summers. My life partner, Evolved Nest Ambassador Justin Yeo, and I were invited to host an introduction to The Evolved Nest talk. This evolved into a multi-day interactive course that we foresee bringing to various communities we visit. Alongside the presentation, I will offer different levels of grief ceremonies to gently honor the intricate emotional strings the components of The Evolved Nest can touch. Justin will facilitate an Ancestral Re-alignment Gathering: A Shamanic Journey to a Collective Intelligence. A website and a more detailed project description are forthcoming.
